I have a 64 c10 and I am wanting to relocate the gas tank to under the bed, and have seen the kits in classic parts, and car and truck shop for around 190 with sending unit, straps and etc. But to not have to pay for shipping and an oversize charge, I called my local classic muscle chevrolet dealer here in NC ... So, I have a 72 C10 that I am looking to restore to its original beauty and was curious what everyone's thoughts were on relocating the gas tank from the cab to where the spare tire would be (for example). As far as I know there is no "complete" kit available that includes everything you need. Yes, the tanks from LMC, Classic Industries, etc comes with the tank, the fuel sender, the mounting straps, but nothing else. No extra fuel line, no fuel filler nozzle, no extra sender wire. These installs are all a little different.
